SFHSS board approves election schedule and adopts 2020 rates-and-benefits calendar

The San Francisco Health Service System board voted unanimously to initiate its 2019 board election and approved related materials, including a Department of Elections notice, member notice, nomination form and schedule.
Executive Director Abby Yant outlined key dates: nominations open Jan. 11, nomination forms are due Feb. 14, candidate orientation is scheduled Feb. 28, election statements are due March 27, ballots will be mailed April 30 and voting will occur May 9–29 with counting on May 30; newly elected members begin their terms at the June 13 board meeting.
Later in the meeting, staff presented the rates-and-benefits calendar for plan year 2020. The calendar groups key workstreams and includes contingency meeting holds in March, April and May if additional sessions are required; the board discussed start-time logistics and then adopted the calendar by voice vote.
The board took no other action tied to these items at the meeting.
