The San Francisco Housing Authority commission approved item 10b on Sept. 13 authorizing the chief executive officer to enter into a license agreement with Progressive Self Development Inc. (PSD) for use of a portion of property at 195 Kiska Road to provide community services.
Housing Operations Director Kendra Crawford summarized the proposed license: PSD will offer programs to address food‑desert issues in Hunters Point, distribute monthly grocery bags, establish farmers markets, provide semiannual health assessments, health-education seminars and a ‘safe community initiative.’ The license term runs from Sept. 13, 2024 through Aug. 31, 2028, renewable in one‑year increments with Authority approval, and carries an annual fee of $1. PSD agreed to submit quarterly reports detailing services provided and the number and demographics of people served.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the license by roll call; Commissioners Pikes, Kim, Lindo and President Torres voted 'Aye.'
