San Francisco—s Local Area Formation Commission on April 25 authorized consultant contracts to help plan Clean Power SF and directed staff to prepare a letter opposing AB 2145, a proposed state bill that would change community choice aggregation (CCA) from an opt-out to an opt-in model.
The commission approved three contract authorizations together: a time-sensitive task order with EnerNex to assess whether the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) could operate the CCA program in-house or whether a third-party energy services provider was required; on-call authorizations for San Francisco Community Power; and on-call authorization for MRW & Associates.
