LAFCO reelects Avalos as chair, names Breed vice chair

The San Francisco Local Agency Formation Commission voted by unanimous consent on Jan. 24 to reelect Commissioner Avalos as chair and to name Commissioner London Breed vice chair.
Commissioner Campos nominated Avalos for another term as chair and nominated Commissioner London Breed for vice chair; Commissioner Marr seconded the combined nomination. After brief public comment in support from Eric Brooks of the San Francisco Green Party and Bruce Wolf of the K Dashboard Neighborhood Council, the commission took the motion without objection and finalized the leadership appointments.
Chair Avalos thanked colleagues for their support and singled out work on the Clean Power SF community choice aggregation effort, saying he looked forward to working with Vice Chair Breed.
The meeting then proceeded to other agenda items, including approval of prior minutes and an extended discussion of Clean Power SF and a draft RFP for local energy buildout. No roll-call vote was recorded for the leadership motion; the transcript records the action as taken "without objection."
