Commission extends Delancey consulting agreement and schedules July 9 joint meeting with SFPUC

The LAFCO Commission approved extending its agreement with Delancey Management Consulting, LLC through the end of the fiscal cycle without increasing the contract amount. Staff said the original contract amount is $25,000 and about $7,000 has been used so far; the extension was requested by both PUC and LAFCO staff to preserve consultant availability for limited, on-demand work.
Jason Fried, reporting for staff, described Delancey's regulatory and policy background and noted that most of the consultant work is requested by the PUC. Commissioners moved to approve the item and the motion carried without objection.
Separately, Fried reminded the commission that a joint meeting with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is scheduled for July 9 in Room 400, where not-to-exceed rates will be on the agenda. He said the July LAFCO meeting later that month will include an educational workshop to discuss financing options for build-out work.
