The Local Agency Formation Commission approved a resolution authorizing a one-year extension of two LAFCO staff positions to assist with the Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) program. Nancy Miller, LAFCO’s interim executive officer, presented the resolution and identified two edits she requested in the text (removing words between “02/2007” and “2010” and replacing the word “extend” with “approves the extension of”).
Commissioner John Avalos moved acceptance of the textual amendments; Commissioner Leah Pimentel seconded the motion and the amendments were accepted without objection. On the resolution as amended, Commissioner Avalos moved and Commissioner Pimentel seconded; the motion was taken without objection and the resolution was approved by the commission.
The resolution memorializes prior extensions and authorizes the continued appointment of the two positions for one additional fiscal year to support CCA work. The resolution was approved by consensus; staff will carry out the administrative steps necessary to implement the extension.
