LAFCO adopts resolutions thanking SFPUC officials Mike Campbell and Ed Harrington

The Local Agency Formation Commission adopted resolutions of commendation recognizing two San Francisco Public Utilities Commission officials for their roles in developing the city's Clean Power SF program.
Chair David Campos read resolutions honoring outgoing General Manager Ed Harrington and Community Choice Aggregation Director Michael (Mike) Campbell. The resolutions praised Harrington's leadership and Campbell's work since 2008 on procurement, modeling, requests for proposals and interagency coordination that helped make the CCA possible.
Commissioners, including Hope Schmelzer and John Avalos, thanked Campbell for his patience, technical expertise and steady public updates. Advocate Eric Brooks also praised both officials and said their sustained engagement had been critical to the program's success. "Anybody that's willing to put up with that for several years deserves commendation," Brooks said.
Mike Campbell thanked colleagues and listed SFPUC staff who worked on the effort, and said he looked forward to watching the program's next stage. The resolutions were adopted without objection.
The meeting took no policy votes on program implementation during this item; the resolutions are expressions of appreciation and do not change program authority or funding.
