San Francisco commissions adopt joint CCA work plan; RFQ to be issued immediately

A joint meeting of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) and the San Francisco Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) approved a resolution endorsing a shared work plan for community choice aggregation (CCA) known locally as Clean Power SF and moved the procurement schedule forward.
The resolution, amended to say LAFCO will "monitor and advise" on CCA progress, passed during today’s unprecedented joint session of the two bodies. SFPUC staff said the city would issue a request for qualifications for CCA service providers by the end of the day and seek a robust list of prequalified firms ahead of a planned request for proposals in October.
