LAFCO defers officer elections, approves minutes and schedules next meeting for Feb. 22

On the question of elections for chair and vice chair (one-year terms), Chair Ross Mercarini asked commissioners to hold the election over until the next meeting; staff noted the rules allow current officers to continue until an election is held. A motion was made to continue the elections to the next meeting and the item was continued.
Commissioners set the next meeting for Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, to allow time for the RFQ interview panel to meet after the SFPUC’s Feb. 7 deadline. The executive officer reported no items; the commission moved to accept that there was no report. With no further new business or public comment, the chair adjourned the meeting.
