Entertainment commission approves minutes, hears enforcement report showing no sound complaints

At the start of the meeting Commission President Ben Wyman asked for approval of the minutes from the Dec. 15, 2020 meeting; a motion was moved and seconded and the commission voted to approve the minutes by roll call.
Deputy Director Azevedo then delivered the enforcement report and told commissioners the enforcement tally was unchanged "because we have not received a single sound complaint since we last met." She said the department had received three New Year's Eve complaints about people congregating at permitted businesses in the Bayview area, but inspectors were not able to validate any activity and those reports were routed through CERT rather than the commission’s noise-enforcement queue.
The commission also accepted a new standing agenda item that creates a formal place on future dockets to request staff work and follow-up. Commissioners closed public comment (no callers were waiting), exchanged brief New Year greetings and informal remarks, and President Wyman adjourned the meeting at 6:20 p.m.
