The San Francisco Entertainment Commission voted to approve a Place of Entertainment (POE) permit for the Right Spot Cafe, 2099 Folsom Street, allowing the small Mission district bar to continue hosting live music, comedy, trivia and karaoke.
Manager Christina Hu told the commission the family has owned the Right Spot since 1990 and that live music has been part of the venue’s history since at least the mid-1970s. “We’re looking to get our place of entertainment permit so we can continue serving the community and having live entertainment,” Hu said.
