The San Francisco Entertainment Commission heard on July 16 that Mayor London Breed has issued an executive directive aimed at streamlining how the city processes special-event permits. Executive Director Weiland told commissioners the mayor has convened a steering committee, to be co-chaired by the City Administrator and the director of the Office of Economic and Workforce Development, that will review current interagency procedures and recommend improvements and a shared digital platform.
