The San Francisco Entertainment Commission unanimously approved three permit applications on the consent calendar during its June 19 meeting. Staff said police reviewed the applications; Vesuvio and August Hall were signed off without added conditions, while Victory Hall & Parlor carries standard conditions from the Southern Station police desk because of its location.
Staff described the applications as limited live-performance permits or accessory-entertainment approvals. Nate Valentine attended on behalf of August Hall to note that the venue will add mechanical amusement devices in a downstairs area adjacent to a bowling alley. Staff said no negative neighbor feedback had been filed for any of the applications and that some letters of support had been received for Vesuvio, including from the San Francisco Independent Business Alliance and local business groups.
Public commenter Dawn Holiday congratulated Janet, the Vesuvio applicant, saying she has frequented the business for many years and welcomed the approvals. The Commission took a unanimous roll-call vote approving the consent calendar; Commissioners Lee, Bridal/Tan, Thomas, Camino and Perez each recorded "aye." The Commission chair congratulated the applicants and said members look forward to upcoming entertainment.
No permit conditions beyond those noted by staff were added at the meeting, and no appeals or requests to pull items from consent were made.
