The San Francisco Entertainment Commission approved a limited live performance permit for Sunset Reservoir Brewing Company on April 4, allowing small live bands to perform with the venue planning monthly entertainment.
Staff said they received extensive signatures in support (164) from patrons and neighbors and a letter of support from Supervisor Tang; the relevant police station recommended the permit with the condition that live music not continue past 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Owner Hillary Passman described family-friendly, outer-Sunset programming and asked the Commission to approve the application.
A commissioner moved in support of the application and another commissioner seconded; the item passed and the Commission congratulated the applicants. No formal letters of protest were included in the staff materials reviewed at the hearing.
Staff noted the permit will allow the venue flexibility to schedule live music on the first Wednesday of each month and occasional other dates, with the station condition on live-music hours during weeknights.
The Commission closed public comment and moved on to the next agenda item.
