The Entertainment Commission approved a place‑of‑entertainment permit for Fish and Farm (Club Quarters) at 424 Clay Street after Central Station reviewed the business plan and recommended conditions including retaining security footage for at least 10 days and providing a calendar for nonstandard events.
Applicant Michael Najjar described the venue as a casual fine‑dining restaurant with a downstairs lounge and occasional ambient live music. "It's more like jazz bands and that sort of thing or maybe a wedding here or there in the basement area," Najjar said.
Officer Steve Mathias (Central Station) said he met with Najjar, reviewed the plan and recommended approval with the listed police conditions, including advance notice for events such as New Year’s Eve and St. Patrick’s Day. The commission approved the permit with those conditions by roll call.
The conditions call for security footage retention and a calendar of extraordinary events; routine ambient music and restaurant operations will proceed under the issued permit.
