During commissioner comments and new-business requests, Commissioners Joseph and Hyde asked staff to contact Supervisor Chu's office to present the proposed Alcohol-Restricted Use District (a moratorium-style measure affecting Broadway between Columbus and Montgomery) so the commission could understand the implications for regulated venues. Commissioner Hyde also requested a January discussion on "10b" permit-related issues and asked that SFPD be invited to explain how 10b recommendations and enforcement work, allowing affected permittees to present concerns.
The commission agreed to schedule the briefings for a future meeting (first Tuesday in January) and to coordinate with relevant offices. Commissioners emphasized the importance of hearing directly from the supervisor's office and the police department before taking any formal actions.
