Commissioners spoke in tribute, thanking Ossman for mentorship and institutional knowledge. Ossman responded that he valued his years with the department and looked forward to enjoying the environment; he said he would remain available to the department and community and expressed confidence in the new director.
Commissioners moved to amend the resolution to add a missing date and then voted to approve the amended commendation by voice vote. The commission did not record a roll-call tally during the motion; the motion carried and Ossman was commended.
