Commissioners and participants urged making 100% renewable electricity the top near-term priority; the commission's policy committee had already recommended that focus. Public commenter Jason Fried (LAFCo) urged immediate publication of the report, exploration of energy-efficiency funding opportunities, and early outreach to institutions such as BART to negotiate renewable purchases. The commission scheduled a joint meeting with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission on Feb. 25 to make renewables and related joint work a priority on that agenda.
