Ethics Commission elects Commissioner Ambrose as chair, Commissioner Lee as vice chair

At its regular meeting the San Francisco Ethics Commission elected Commissioner Ambrose as chair and Commissioner Lee as vice chair for one-year terms beginning March 1.
The chair opened nominations for the 2020 officer slate. Commissioner Ambrose was nominated and accepted the nomination. After roll-call voting the commission recorded five affirmative votes for Ambrose and announced Ambrose as chair-elect for the term beginning March 1. Later, Commissioner Lee was nominated for vice chair and also received five affirmative votes.
Commissioners and public commenters offered remarks thanking outgoing leadership and urging continued attention to enforcement and implementation of recently adopted ordinances. Commissioners Ambrose and Lee said they intended to focus on implementing recent policy changes and improving public engagement.
Votes were taken by roll call; the commission approved both elections unanimously.
