Fire Commission unanimously approves minutes and elects Steven Nicasio as vice president

At the July 28 meeting the San Francisco Fire Commission approved the minutes from its July 14, 2021 meeting by unanimous roll call.
Later in the agenda the commission addressed a vacancy in the vice president role following the unexpected death of Vice President Tony Rodriguez. Commissioner Ken Cleveland nominated Commissioner Steven Nicasio to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term; the nomination was seconded, recorded votes were affirmative, and Nicasio accepted the position.
Commissioners expressed appreciation for Rodriguez’s service and asked for continuity as the commission proceeds through the end of the calendar year. No further personnel actions were taken at the meeting.
