Public comment from David Pilpel and others urged the commission to document where additional work is needed so that transmittals to the mayor and controller justify any request not to accept a cut. Commissioners moved to affirm that the executive director should submit a budget without the proposed 1.5% cut and the motion passed by voice vote.
The executive director will proceed with that submission and follow up with the mayor’s budget office and the board as needed.
