Fire Commission upholds disciplinary finding, keeps closed-session deliberations confidential and re-elects officers

The Fire Commission reported the outcome of a closed session at its Jan. 12 meeting and handled internal elections.
After reconvening from closed session at about 11:30 a.m., City Attorney staff Brad Rusty told commissioners the commission "by unanimous vote upheld the 3 charged rule violations and a 10 day suspension." The commission then voted (unanimously as recorded) not to disclose closed-session discussions under San Francisco Administrative Code section 67.12(a).
Later in the meeting commissioners nominated and re-elected Katherine Feinstein to another term as president for 2022. Commissioner Ken Cleveland moved the nomination and Commissioner Armee Morgan seconded; Feinstein accepted and the motion passed unanimously. The commission also re-nominated and re-elected the sitting vice president for 2022.
What happens next: The commission will continue to process administrative and budget items at future meetings and noted it will report any closed-session actions required by law when and if disclosure is appropriate.
