Commission approves minutes, votes to enter closed session and to withhold disclosure

Commissioner Francie Covington moved to amend and adopt the regular meeting minutes from July 28, 2021 to reflect an additional compliment; the motion was seconded and adopted as amended by recorded unanimous vote.
Later the commission voted to hear Item 8(b), a personnel matter, in closed session "pursuant to government code section 54 9 57 b and administrative code section 67.1 b" (transcript wording). Commissioner Covington moved to discuss the item in closed session and Commissioner Ken Cleveland seconded; the meeting went into closed session at 10:38. After closed session the commission voted on a motion not to disclose discussions held in closed session; that motion passed unanimously.
President Katherine Feinstein called the meeting to adjourn at 11:17.
