The text read in part: "Whereas the San Francisco Fire Commission acknowledges the heroic and life saving efforts and coordinated response of Chief Hayes White, the command staff, the members of the department, and the fire reserves who responded to the 4 alarm fire on [March 17] at 659 Union Street."
Commissioner Francie Covington moved the item into final consideration; Commissioner Michael Hardiman seconded the motion. The commission called the question and the resolution passed by unanimous voice vote with no recorded opposition.
