OCII reports: site activation, project naming and Mission Bay school EIR
Summary
At the Sept. 21 meeting OCII reported that Eastcut Landing Partners has started soft activation of the former temporary Transbay bus terminal; Mercy Housing proposed naming Block 6 West for Sister Lillian Murphy; and the Mission Bay School Project draft EIR is available for public comment through Oct. 19.
During the Sept. 21 meeting the interim executive director updated the commission on a set of informational items. Staff reported that Eastcut Landing Partners, selected to activate the former temporary Transbay bus terminal site, began a soft opening with food and activities and plans a larger public opening in early October.
Staff also said Mercy Housing proposed naming the recently completed Block 6 West affordable housing project after the late Sister Lillian Murphy; that naming proposal has undergone community outreach and received positive feedback.
Finally, OCII noted that the San Francisco school district published a notice of availability for the draft environmental impact report (EIR) on the Mission Bay School Project and is accepting comments through Oct. 19. OCII staff said they are reviewing the document and will notify the commission of any comments OCII plans to submit.
