OCII plans RFP for environmental technical services tied to Hunters Point Shipyard development

OCII staff informed the commission on June 1 of plans to issue a request for proposals for environmental technical services to support Hunters Point Shipyard phase 1 and phase 2 projects.
Interim Executive Director Sally Orth said the current consultant contract is expiring and that OCII will seek a firm to evaluate and review technical documents produced by the Navy, EPA and other regulatory agencies and to provide advisory services related to land transfers and development.
Kashika McKinney of the Hunters Point Shipyard team was joined by staff to answer questions. No members of the public offered comment and commissioners did not take a formal vote on the information memo; staff said they will proceed with an RFP in line with procurement policies.
The item was presented as information to prepare for future contract awards and regulatory review work on Hunters Point Shipyard projects.
