The Abatement Appeals Board granted an appeal and reversed the order of abatement for the Persia Avenue property after the new owner completed required repairs, and the board waived fees.
Senior housing inspector Jose Lopez told the board he was informed before the meeting that the case had been abated and that all work to comply with the notice of violation had been completed. "All work to comply with the notice of violation was completed," Lopez said.
Jennifer Chang, who identified herself as the new owner at the hearing, confirmed she had corrected the violations. The board commended her for abating the issues and a commissioner moved to grant the appeal and waive fees. The motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
The board reversed the abatement on the basis that the owner had corrected the violations; commissioners also voted to waive fees associated with the matter. The board's action clears the abatement record for the property provided the recorded conditions were addressed.
