OCII elects Mond(e)har as chair, names Miguel Bustos vice chair; consent minutes approved

San Francisco — The successor agency to the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency completed procedural business at its Jan. 16 meeting, approving minutes and electing its leadership for the coming term.
The commission approved the consent agenda item to adopt the minutes from Dec. 5, 2017. Commissioner Bustos moved to approve and Commissioner Singh seconded; the secretary called the roll and the motion carried on a 4–0 vote.
In scheduled elections for leadership, a commissioner nominated Merrilee Mondahar (name appears in the record with variant spellings); the nomination was accepted and carried on a voice/roll call vote reported as 4 ayes, making her the elected chair. Commissioners then nominated Miguel Bustos for vice chair; Commissioner Rosales seconded the nomination and the roll call again recorded 4 ayes.
Commissioners closed the meeting with bipartisan remarks and moved to adjourn the session in memory of Mayor Edwin Lee. The adjournment was moved and seconded and the commission stood adjourned.
