Residents urge greater community engagement as OCII winds down property transfers

Oscar James, who identified himself as a Bayview Hunters Point resident, thanked staff for notifying the community about housing‑authority projects and asked that OCII hold community meetings in neighborhoods such as the Western Addition to ensure residents are informed when projects move toward completion.
Another speaker asked the Commission to direct agency directors and contractors receiving OCII funds to attend public meetings or to send staff so the community can hear progress directly from project leads and report back to the neighborhood.
Commissioners thanked the speakers and noted staff would follow up on meeting notices and outreach plans.
