Commission approves update to AB 47 smoke-control bulletin to reflect current code references

"It just has the old code references, the old code sections. It doesn't reflect the current code," Means said, explaining that the bulletin needed only editorial and reference updates rather than substantive policy changes.
A member of the public asked whether community concerns were taken into account; Means said the bulletin was vetted through multiple meetings and by professional groups. A commissioner moved to approve the bulletin; after a second, the Commission conducted a roll-call vote and approved the update unanimously.
Outcome: Motion carried unanimously. The Commission did not attach additional conditions or refer the item for further study.
