White emphasized that the department remains fully staffed for local coverage and noted that the state’s mutual‑aid declaration makes the deployments eligible for reimbursement. “We remain fully staffed here,” White said, adding that crews typically have a required seven‑day commitment before returning from some deployments.
The council did not take additional action; the chief’s update was provided as public comment and situational awareness.
