The Building Inspection Commission voted unanimously on July 16 to appoint Robert Fuller as the registered fire‑protection engineer and Sam Al Khatib as the registered electrical engineer to the City's Board of Examiners, with terms set to expire Sept. 15, 2016.
A nomination subcommittee recommended the two candidates and the full commission moved, seconded and approved the appointments on a roll‑call vote. The minutes record the roll call as: President McCarthy (Aye); Vice President Moore (Yes); Commissioner Clinch (Yes); Commissioner McCray (Yes). The motion carried unanimously.
Following the vote, the appointees took the oath of office for the City and County of San Francisco. During the oath segment the transcript records the names Samuel Katheep and Robert Fuller as spoken by the appointees; the transcript contains variant spellings for one appointee (the nomination materials and earlier agenda list him as Sam Al Khatib). The commission requested the appointees sign the oath paperwork before concluding the step.
No public comment was recorded on the nomination. The commission thanked the nominees for their willingness to serve.
