The San Francisco Board of Education ratified a set of tentative agreements and routine employment and retroactive-contract items during the meeting.
Items approved by roll-call votes included tentative agreements between SFUSD and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 6; the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) Local 21; and the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 39. Each of these items was introduced by district staff as the product of negotiations and was adopted without in-person public opposition, with roll-call tallies recorded as seven ayes.
The board also ratified an employment contract for an unrepresented executive (head of technology) with salary grade and term read into the record; no substantive public comment opposed the item and the roll-call vote carried.
Additionally the board approved the consent calendar, which included retroactive contracts and other routine items; those items passed by recorded roll call. District staff and the superintendent thanked negotiators and labor representatives for efforts to reach agreements.
The approvals authorize the district to implement the covered terms with each bargaining unit; the meeting record shows staff will proceed with next steps for implementation and monitoring.
