Commissioners voted to approve AB‑035 with one correction; staff will publish the procedures online and develop a property‑owner affidavit to confirm tenant notification.
On AB‑84 (guidelines for continuous tie‑down systems), an engineer raised technical concerns about language that would require clarification (shrinkage compensating devices and mixing tie‑down systems). Commissioners voted to refer the bulletin back to the Code Advisory Committee for a subcommittee review and technical edits.
