Avery Pickford, a Presidio EES parent, said the district resumed charging tuition ($850 a month reported by the caller) for programs that remain closed and asked the board either to pause charging families or allow temporary withdrawals. "Distance learning is not developmentally appropriate" for ages 2 and 4, Pickford said, and warned that hybrid or partial reopening could create significantly higher costs for families.
Employees raised workplace and benefit concerns. Jennifer (last name listed in the record as "Moless") described being assigned a workspace 13 miles from home and said other districts allow teachers to work from their own classrooms; she called SFUSD's approach "unsustainable and inequitable." Veteran school bus drivers, speaking for themselves and their union, appealed for respect and retention of health-care benefits: "You have ignored us ... our work is completely tied to the San Francisco School," said Meg Felt, a 35-year driver.
