Schedules, minutes and grading: Parents sought firm schedules and clarity about daily live minutes (SB 98 minimums were cited by staff). Teachers urged flexibility so synchronous hours do not force excessive daily screen time; the district said scheduling details are tied to labor negotiations and the MOU but that it is drafting consistent schedule options for schools.
Pandemic pods and community hubs: Several parents warned pods will increase stratification and asked for equitable district options. Others called for public learning hubs and for the district to coordinate with city-sponsored community hubs; district and city staff said conversations are ongoing to align facilities and community-based organizations.
