DBI adopts updated crane-safety bulletin and approves 2009 valuation schedule

Commissioners asked about seismic performance and capacity standards; staff said CalOSHA leads on crane structural approvals while DBI will focus on site plans, foundations and local operational restrictions.
The Commission also approved the department's annual 2009 cost schedule of building valuation data (based on Marshall & Swift with local modifiers), noting an average cost increase of about 8.05% to inform fee calculations.
