SAN FRANCISCO — The Building Inspection Commission convened a closed session on Sept. 19 to discuss a biannual performance evaluation for the Department of Building Inspection director and later disclosed a favorable outcome.
Following a motion and second to enter closed session, the Commission reconvened and voted to discuss the results generally in open session. An unidentified commissioner said the evaluation determined the director is "more than exceeding our expectations on all levels," and the Commission said the City Attorney would formalize and present the written evaluation to the director by the next meeting.
Commission President Walker congratulated the director and commissioners thanked staff for their work. The Commission did not provide further detail in public about the evaluation's metrics or any related personnel actions.
