Principal emeritus Erica Lovren read a resolution summarizing Alvedol's 34-year career in SFUSD, including leadership posts and a long tenure as principal at George Washington High from 1981 to 1995. The resolution, supported by the George Washington High School Alumni Association, celebrates Alvedol's community presence, athletic and extracurricular contributions and founding of the school's Athletic Hall of Fame.
Family members accepted the resolution and thanked the board. The naming passed unanimously on roll call.
