SFUSD board adopts multiple tentative labor agreements in public hearing

The tentative agreements presented included those with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 6, joint common crafts, the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 39 and a service employees agreement listed as Local 1021 (as printed in the agenda). For each agreement the staff recommended that the board conduct a public hearing and adopt the tentative agreement and related disclosure documents; board members recorded their votes via roll call and the clerk announced the recorded ayes for each item.
No substantive oral opposition was recorded in the hearing portion for these items; board members confirmed the public hearing and proceeded to vote on the recommendations as listed in the agenda.
Next steps: the agreements and related disclosure documents become part of the district record and staff will proceed with the contract administration steps necessary to complete and implement the tentative agreements.
