The resolution noted that on Aug. 11 Mo'Magic distributed 1,200 backpacks and on Aug. 14 B‑Magic distributed 3,000 backpacks and partnered with local nonprofits for uniform distribution.
Commissioners and the superintendent praised the programs’ role connecting families with resources and promoting literacy. Matt Gonzales accepted the recognition on behalf of founder Jeff Adachi, who was traveling. The Board voted unanimously to approve the resolution and commissioners and program leaders posed for photographs following the presentation.
