Board resolves bid tie by lot for campus security camera contract
Summary

Golden and staff conducted a public draw in the boardroom; a hat was used to select the winning bidder in the presence of counsel and staff. The board recorded Aloha Builders as the apparent low bidder and proceeded to vote on the contract award as part of the consent action.
The board noted the unusual nature of resolving procurement ties by lot but proceeded in compliance with the state contract code. If the apparent low bidder declines, staff will move to the next responsible bidder per procurement rules.
