Board adopts annual and five‑year developer‑fees report required by state law

The San Francisco Unified School District Board on Dec. 11 reviewed and adopted the district’s annual and five-year report on developer fees, a statutory requirement under the Government Code. David Golden, the district’s chief facilities officer, told trustees the Delenka Group prepared the report dated Nov. 21, 2008, which documents fees received, expended and projected expenditures connected to school facilities and new development.
Golden said the district must hire a consultant annually to confirm the district has adequate funds for projects and to produce a five-year projection; projections can change year to year depending on project priorities, such as potential work at Mission Bay. The board moved to adopt the report by roll call.
The report will be publicly available as required by law and will guide the district’s planning for fee-funded facilities projects over the coming year and five-year window.
