The staff member said the MOU recognizes an existing four-year partnership and noted funding support from the Foundation for California Community Colleges.
Board members praised the partnership’s potential to expand college-readiness and asked staff to supply additional details about which courses will be offered and which other high schools partner with San Francisco State. The board voted by roll call; the clerk recorded seven ayes and the MOU was approved.
Next steps: staff agreed to follow up with details on course offerings and potential expansion to ninth- and tenth-grade students.
