The San Francisco Board of Education conducted a public hearing Jan. 9 and adopted a signed tentative agreement between the district and Local 261 laborers. The district presented the signed tentative agreement and the required public disclosure document for board approval; staff said negotiations had been ongoing since May 2006.
No members of the public addressed the item during the hearing. A motion to move the recommendation passed and a roll-call vote recorded six ayes, advancing the agreement and related disclosure document.
The board’s action authorized staff to proceed with the next steps for implementing the tentative pact and to publish required disclosure materials for public record.
