Deputy Director of Finance and Administration Sarah Hollenbach presented a recommendation to authorize the Director of Cultural Affairs to enter into an agreement with AMS Planning and Research Corporation to produce an agency-wide strategic and business plan at a cost not to exceed $353,200.
Hollenbach said the previously engaged contractor had exited the market for strategic planning for arts organizations, and the department reverted to the second-ranked firm from the original RFP process. Commissioner Schneier moved to approve the contract and Commissioner Mosley seconded. The commission called the final motion and the item passed unanimously by voice vote.
Commissioners asked a few clarifying questions about schedule and the earlier hiccup with the originally selected contractor; Hollenbach said the city hopes to begin substantive work in August if the commission authorizes the agreement.
The motion authorizes the director to execute the contract; the commission did not specify additional conditions or a reporting schedule during the July 1 meeting.
