After moving to a closed session platform, the commission reconvened in open session and the moderator reported, "I can report that the commission did not take any action during closed session." Commissioners then considered whether to disclose any portion of the closed-session conversation. Commissioner Fung moved "to not disclose"; that motion also passed unanimously, 7-0.
The meeting opened with procedural reminders tied to the COVID-19 emergency: the moderator noted the mayor's Feb. 25, 2020 local state of emergency and the April 3, 2020 authorization allowing the commission to hold remote hearings. The moderator explained public-participation procedures (SFGovTV streaming, public comment via phone at 415-655-0001 using access code 1870642070, pressing *3 to join the queue, a three-minute limit, and a 30-second chime to indicate 30 seconds remaining).
