The San Francisco Planning Commission on Dec. 15 certified the final environmental impact report (EIR) for the city’s Significant Natural Resources Area Management Plan, a 20‑year program to manage 32 remnant natural areas within and near the city. The commission voted 6–1 to certify the document; Commissioner Moore cast the lone no vote. The Recreation and Park Commission then voted to adopt the management plan unanimously.
The plan, developed by the Recreation and Park Department and evaluated by the Planning Department, lays out conservation, restoration and recreation guidance for about 1,100 acres of natural lands.
