She said the area added net new units during the period and that 398 of those newly constructed units were affordable; most of those affordable units were publicly assisted or produced through inclusionary housing requirements. Harris told the commission that, as of late 2015, there were over 4,600 units in the pipeline and that just over 3,100 units were under review by planning, with 1,038 permitted for construction.
