Board issues conditioned permit for 759'767 Sixth Avenue, adopting April 5 revised drawings

The San Francisco Board of Appeals voted on April 17 to grant an appeal and issue a special-conditions permit for 759'767 Sixth Avenue (application 201707252899), conditioned on adoption of revised drawings dated April 5, 2019. DBI inspector Joe Duffy and Planning Department staff (Scott Sanchez) told the board that the April 5 drawings are code-compliant and that the Department of Building Inspection would process permits under the special-conditions format.
Appellants told commissioners they had received the April 5 plans and that the project sponsor committed in writing to compensate tenants for disrupted services during construction and to provide temporary laundry access. Architect and permit-holder representatives confirmed the April 5 date on the revised drawings and said the plans had been provided to the appellants.
Commissioner Duro Honda moved to grant the appeal and require the permit be revised to adopt the revised drawings dated 04/05/2019. The motion passed with aye votes recorded by President Frank Fung, Commissioner Rachel Tanner and Vice President Rick Swig. The board instructed DBI and Planning staff to finalize any administrative items necessary to issue the permit on that condition.
Next steps: DBI will process the special-conditions permit consistent with the adopted April 5 drawings; appellants and permit holder were instructed to follow up administratively as needed.
